I’ve promised to dissect my MBA experience at Goizueta Business School before and I thought publishing now, after graduation, made the most sense.
On May 15, 2006, two days shy of a full calendar year, I became a full-time MBA graduate from Emory’s Goizueta Business School. “Wait a second here,” you say. “Aren’t full time programs two years long?” Yes, normally they are two years long but I was a part of a fifty-four student program which compresses the entire MBA experience into one calendar year. As a side note, I met some of the new incoming students for the new one year class (they started the day after graduation just like we did last year). The class is about fifty-eight students (I think) for the 2007 graduating class.
Learn the Language

As of late, one thing has become abundantly clear to me: a lot of native English speakers don’t have a good grasp of their own language. I’ve seen examples of this not only in an academic setting but also in business and (so called) professional journalism.
Napster

Just got a note from someone I know at Napster that they are now providing music for free without any type of subscription (yes, it is ad supported of course and you are limited to hearing a song five times at most)! I just checked it out and realized that you can link to songs too so I went back and updated my Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now blog post with a link to the Smiths song. Pretty cool.

I recently read about a new “service” of sorts - Valleyschwag. Interesting idea especially since people like me love to collect this stuff. Of course the stuff I have (Ask Jeeves shirts, PayPal pens, etc.) has personal/business significance to it rather than just being something I bought. I might sign up for this service once I figure out what I’m doing after school (2 weeks until graduation!) and see how good it is.
