BigThinkrs on LinkedIn

In an effort to improve communications between entrepreneurs in the southeast, we’ve setup a group within LinkedIn (named creatively enough - BigThinkr) for interested parties to join. The biggest benefit of having and joining this group is that you can send requests directly to others in the group without having to go through the (sometimes tedious) process of having a request relayed through folks. Of course, you have the option to enable or disable this on your account once you join. If you’re interested in joining the BigThinkr LinkedIn group just click here. Mind you, I’m going to pick through and hand approve each request. So first, it may take a while for you to be approved (depending on how many requests I get). Also, if you’re a service provider or someone who would normally be excluded from either the YnR events or the Capital Connections event, don’t even bother trying to get into the group. The idea here is to improve entrepreneur to entrepreneur networking (although investment folks who are actively looking for startups to fund are also welcome to join) in the Atlanta/Georgia/Southeast region.
So if you fit the bill, join our LinkedIn BigThinkr group and get involved in helping your fellow local entrepreneur.
YnR North A Success!

Tonight we had our first YnR event in the northern part of Atlanta. For those who haven’t been following along, YnR (Young and Restless) events were started by David Ratajczak to get entrepreneurs in Atlanta together. They’ve become a smashing success because David has been great at keeping the service providers out of the events. We all heard some grumblings about having the events more north so people who are OTP (outside the perimeter) could participate without having to suffer Atlanta traffic. So tonight, we held our first YnR North event. We had a decent turnout (I counted about 15 people tonight with a fair number who had been at previous YnR gatherings in town) which was pretty promising. We’re hoping to alternate between events in town and at the north end of town so as to give folks a chance to participate. Times and locations are never published so as to keep the riff-raff out.
