After a few back and forth emails (the initial ones were responded to with form letter responses), I think I got a real reply. Although it isn’t at all satisfying. Relevant snippet below.

Please be assured, no confidential information was provided in these e-mails. We realize that you are concerned with your account’s security and want to assure you that information security is our top priority. Weactively monitor all account activity to prevent and detect fraud.
We are aware of the issue involving e-mails being sent inerror and we are currently working to resolve this issue.
