My (Kinda) New Desktop Computer

I’ve been talking about the hotness around my desktop computer for a while but I haven’t gotten around to blogging about it like I said I would.  So here goes.

A few months back, I decided to get myself a new desktop computer.  But instead of just getting online and configuring one, I thought I’d build one from individual parts and get the kids to help me put it together.  I figured it would be fun for them and me to have a technology project to tackle.

Funny Video on Computers

I know I’ve been hinting at a post about my new computing rig. I just got a new toy this last week that I’m going to use for my post. So it’s coming - probably next week. I’ve also been told that I should quit building machines and just buy an Apple. Yeah, no. The build was a bunch of fun because I was able to do it with my kids (my son now can identify computer parts unprompted and asked me what I was doing with a hard drive I just got - he’s 5 BTW).

In the meantime, I just saw this Wall Street Journal article which talks about problems that this journalist had when he switched to a Mac. You Apple fanatics, take heart - the most important part of the video comes in the last 10 seconds.
