MidCity Cuisine filed for bankruptcy. Not earth shattering considering that they closed down but still.
On a related note, folks should know that both Eatzi’s locations in Atlanta (as well as across the country other than in Dallas I think) have shut down. I called the Eatzi’s headquarters and found out that the company went under and the assets were bought by someone (I didn’t ask who). Dang.

Just saw this story and the press release announcing that MidCity Cuisine is shutting down today. Funny thing is that I had dinner there last week (Thursday night) with a bunch of Atlanta Marshall Memorial Fellows. We met to discuss planning for the upcoming alumni conference in Atlanta (more on this in the future). funny thing was, we were the ONLY guests in the entire restaurant. The construction made things a pain for us and although the food was pretty good, I can see how people steered clear because of the mess created there. So be warned, if you’re in Atlanta - don’t try to go to MidCity Cuisine anymore.
