Startup Weekend Atlanta

Startup Weekend AtlantaI’ve had a lot of random events going on lately. Last week I was in New York for a conference and this upcoming weekend is Startup Weekend Atlanta. I’m looking forward to the event especially since I don’t know a number of people currently slated to attend. I always find these types of events more interesting when I get to meet folks I didn’t know before.  If you’re and are a reader of my blog, feel free to introduce yourself.  I always enjoy meeting folks who take the time to read my random thoughts.  And if you aren’t already signed up to go, it’ll be hard to get a spot at this point.  The attendee list and waitlist are pretty full but give it a try.  You never know until you try.  I’ll see the rest of you on Friday!

Georgia Technology Summit

I was going to write a blog post about yesterday’s Georgia Technology Summit but then I noticed that Jeff Haynie beat me to the punch.  Since my revelations are exactly the same as his - I’ll just say “ditto”.

Use IE7 And Get Digital Envoy Technology

Digital EnvoyI finally saw official mention of this so I thought I’d do a quick post. Internet Explorer 7 includes functionality which helps prevent phishing attacks. This technology was provided from third party vendors to Microsoft and includes Digital Resolve’s service (Digital Resolve is a Digital Envoy business unit). Congrats to the Digital Envoy team for getting their technology incorporated in a widely used and directly consumer facing application! Here is the official press release from Microsoft and the Microsoft blog mention.

SoCon07 - Go Register!

One of the guys I met at an Atlanta Technology Dinner - Jeff Haynie - is working on an Atlanta conference for networking and discussing things Web 2.0. The SoCon 07 is free (if you don’t want to eat or need a place to stay) and registration is open now. So what are you waiting for? I’ll be there for most of it. If you’re there, make sure you come up and say “hi”.
