Technology Review Has Problems With Technology

So I just installed a new version of FeedDemon and I thought I’d clean out my feed list to prune out stuff that was dead. I noticed that the feed for Technology Review’s blog site was last updated in May 1, 2005. That’s weird. I went and checked out the site and it looks like there is fresh content there. So I checked out the feed by hand and sure enough, it hasn’t been updated since May 1, 2005. Apparently they must have changed something at some point in May and no one thought to make sure the RSS feed was updating correctly. Although the publication date of the feed shows today’s date so the file is clearly generating properly when requested. Not sure what this says about people’s ability to deal with technology but when a place that is reviewing technology can’t seem to get things to work right, what hope do non-technical people have?

Quick Update: This might be the reason why none of their current dozen or so posts has any trackbacks or comments. Jeez, I would have thought someone would have noticed that. Guess it also goes to show you how important proper feed distribution is in getting your content out there and a discussion going.
