Upcoming Talk: Why Twitter Matters
August 20th, 2008 • Conferences + Events, Technology
Tomorrow I’m going to be at the Atlanta Web Entrepreneurs meetup to be on a panel talking about Twitter. A lot of you who read this blog are already on Twitter but there are a good portion of you who aren’t. For those of you who aren’t, I hope you’re okay with not being a part of the conversation because that’s exactly what you’re missing.
At first I thought I was going to do the intro talk about what Twitter is and why it is important. Now it looks like Mike Schinkel is going to do the background which is cool since I can now just sit there and riff on stuff. While I was prepping for this talk, I went ahead and updated some slides I had ready from a talk I did earlier this year for the ATDC’s Brown Bag series. Instead of sitting on these slides, I’ve uploaded them to Slideshare and they’re also available below.
Also, in my searching, I found this awesome video explaining what exactly Twitter is and why you might want to use it (also embedded below). If you don’t “get” Twitter, watch the video and see if you might want to get involved. And if you do, you can find me on Twitter here.

I’m also going to be on that panel.. didn’t know there was any slides to be involved. I guess I’ll just sit along you and help field questions etc. :-)
